On Monday January 10th, my brother in-law Roby was sworn in as Senator of Iowa's 41st district. The family and I traveled to Des Moines to help him celebrate. We really enjoyed our tour of the capital and we were given a private tour of the dome at the top of the capital, which involved signing your life away just in case you couldn't make it back down :)

The hotel we stayed in for the weekend had a water park...so of course we had to spend some time there too :)
Chad had to study some for his EMT class...the bartender felt sorry for him and gave him a free drink :)
